Purpose of a website
A websites
purpose can be infinite as there are URLS. But key purposes to a website are
for business and advertising. For example a website for a business will open up
with maybe the company’s bright and attractive logo. It will have a sidebar and
maybe a little blurb about the company. This getting to a purpose of a website
is to advertise and project the creators vision of their establishment. A
websites purpose can also talk about a person. It can be a fan page, a page of
hatred towards them or it can be a biographic page made by them. Other pages
exist to show the world certain media (i.e. Social, photography, recording and
blogs). And even more pages exist to educate or help the public navigate the
web, one of the most widely used websites in the world is Google. Google.com is
a search engine that works by you typing in any key words and showing you urls
that relate to the keyword. The purpose of a website is to be simple yet
effective and eye popping and memorable. As an example we will use Google.com
because it is the most widely used website in the world.

As you can see it is
simple. You open up the page and you immediately see the logo and right below
that there is the search bar. The Google logo is pleasant to look at and it is
easy to remember. This helps the website because you will remember the name and
logo next time you need a search engine. Another key purpose is simplicity. As
you can see the bar on top of the page can take you to Google images, maps, YouTube,
news and Gmail etc. in just the click of the mouse all from the home page. Google’s
creator have put all the key aspects into their website. Simplicity, pleasantry
and memorability. This is why google.com is such a successful webpage.
The key aspects of a website really show effective when you
see how successful a webpage is. A webpages purpose can be infinite whether it
be an informational page a page to post and blog on or just for entertainment. Whatever
the purpose for a website may be it must have some key aspects in order to be
successful. Simplicity and pleasantry are must haves for a successful webpage. I
can conclude that whatever a webpages purpose may be it must be eye popping and
easy to use.
